Why should you get to know Glo1?
I am looking for a very special man - who respects me for who I am just as I will respect him. Must be fun to be with, enjoy impromtu outings as well as enjoying planning holidays and trips, both in SA and overseas.
So many exciting new places to visit - or old places re-visited - and there is so much to see out in the world. Photography, especially since digital cameras emerged, is a great passion of mine. I love outdoors, animals - domestic and wild - gardening, walking, travel, photography, and reading. Used to have a smallholding with horses, cows, ducks, chickens, veggies etc which I loved, but had to move on.
I love travelling, absolutely love the Cape. I visit family and friends in the UK but only every three years or so. With my roots there I find it difficult to stay away for long, but there again I would like to share travelling with someone special.
Locally, apart from wine-tasting and sight-seeing in the Cape, my favourite place to be is in Umfolozi Game Reserve or one of the other game parks up in northern KZN.
I am independent, and would not enjoy being smothered, but would like to be in a relationship where I feel comfortable with someone, attracted to them, can laugh together and talk about old times, future times and not have to watch what I say, no point being jealous over what is in the past. I am a good listener and happy to talk through the past if it helps the healing process - to a point!
I like peace and quiet, walks on the beach, game-viewing, candle-lit dinners and a few friends round for a dinner party as opposed to big parties.
Love of animals and gardening are obligatory! Can't live without them!

I would be attracted to a man who is comfortable with himself without being conceited. He must have pride in his appearance, I hate slobs. Someone kind without being a doormat, intelligent, a good career, sound financial sense, with a sense of humour and patience. I am a good listener but would expect to be listened to as well. I hate flirts, and someone who plays with people's emotions. Honesty is very important - say what you feel and what you think. I love adventure and the outdoors, cannot stand couch potatoes. Would love someone I can travel with, both in South Africa and abroad. Please no baggage, we all have things in our past that we regret, talk about them and then get on with life. I would like a partner who enjoys my company and that of a few friends rather than a club man who has to be in the pub with crowds of loud people. I don't want to be dragged out to social events on a nightly or even weekly basis - my days of gallivanting socially are over - no need for that with the right partner. I love my home and pets and would be happy with someone who also likes being around the house and garden doing things, not sitting in front of the TV all weekend!
